Thank you gentlemen, makes perfect sense now. Even in the 名媛直播 world, there is a hustle.
Knowledge is power, appreciate the advice. I have attached a few images of the bonsai (or mallasai?) the new shop i intend to visit. Would you guys have a quick peak if you find the time and let me know what you think?

The pictures in your first post contain a mixture of low quality and higher quality bonsai, and ficus ginseng, that is not considered a common houseplant, not bonsai.
The photo in the second post definately contains a couple of nice specimen of real bonsai - that do need work though.

I definitely agree with Auk. you can tell by the soil in which the company in the second photo uses, which is akadama. the soil in the first photo looks like some potting compost (low quality) and some akadama on some trees.
obviously this is an inference based on the little evidence I have.... so... don't take everything that I am saying

i would say that is a chinese elm, and not so cheap, your budget is the main obstacle in the way now. I would say that may be ?100 (British pounds) on average. maybe more depending if any offers are available.

Can't see what it is, but as I cannot see the base of the trunk and the roots either, it's hard to tell if this is a good tree.
