I have no influence at all on the way your text to speech software functions.

What? Please stop posting on my questions if you're just going to be a smartellic and rude. You'd think you could get on a tree forum without people being rude. Apparently not.

I am just learning about 名媛直播 too but I do know that plants do not like to have lights on 24/7. They need time in the dark.

it depends... do you have a window in your office? does it get direct sunlight there? In the winter where I live, the sun comes up at about 9:00 am and goes down at around 4 pm... because I have big windows in my living room... I use a grow light from around 6 am until 10 am and then from 4 pm until 7 pm.. for my tropical trees. They have all done very well with that... however I also keep the humidity in my living room, and particularly around the trees up to around 60% or higher. Which is also a factor. In the spring I let most of the tropical plants go outside...
Generally speaking trees will die indoors for a variety of reasons...what I have observed, and I may be wrong, is that indoor trees often will be watered improperly, even if the intetion is right.. I think the soil dries out either unevenly or too quickly, depending on coniditons.

I wish I had a window, but I do not. I have an outdoor area that I could put them outside on, during the summer months. My Ficus seems to be thriving, but I know each species is different. I may try sticking the new guy under my desk lamp during the day, and see how that goes, it's about 12" from the top of the little tree. If it seems to be suffering, I may switch to outdoors (outside my office or at home) during the spring/summer. I live in North Texas, it gets pretty cold in the winter here and hot in the summer. This new tree came in a crappy container, so I'm going to re-pot it soon (once it perks up) and will get a humidity tray for it too. Thank you for your input!

Thank you! I may try keeping it under the closer light during the day and if it doesn't get better, move it outside since it's starting to reach the 70's here in Texas.

How cold does it get in the winter? your trees should be fine if it doesn't get under 15 C or 59 F.... but even then if it doesn't get that cold for long you can keep them outside.

Im in the panhandle of Texas, winter lows are in the teens or a little below. Summers are 90/100+ with lows in the 75/85 range.

I would like to throw out a warning for the desk lamp idea. Be careful what type of bulb (incandescent, Compact fluorescent, or LED) you have. Heat from the lamp could dry out your leaves. Humidity needs to be relatively high for this species. Even if the pot has a humidity tray the lamp will dry those leaves right up. LED bulb would give off less heat and might be okay but Incandescent and CFL would get too hot.
Godspeed

If you have a ficus that does well, the ligustrum should do well too. Limit the amount of light timewise. Plants have a cycle which is tuned to light.
Remive the.moss and stones.
