Every tree has multiply solutions.

The first one in the picture you can continue like this.

Perhaps with the others two you can do some wierd bending, so the branches look shorter.

Or you can do a "Tanuki". Take a piece of deathwood, and bend you own tree around it.
Or carve it, and put the trunk of your tree a bit inside the deathwood.
That way, your trunk will look way bigger, and you can place your pads around the deathwood.

Going to do that myself too, as i found a very nice deathwood piece in the pine forest few month back.

Example of Tanuki

Others might also know things to do with it.

you have insecurely wired your trees and it prevents it from growing at such an early age and it appears you dont prune your trees corecctly

Give it time. Fertilizer, sun and time. You might find a few sprouts shooting over summer. They DO backbud in crotches, but not reliable nor frequently enough to base stylings on the assumption they will beackbud.

Added benefit, if you let them grow you can wire the branches down and still build a crown. This is key to bonsai: Use what you have, and work around the problems. Making a good bonsai out of a tree with perfectly regular branching is easy. Anyone can do it. But making something out of nothing, that is a challenge which few can master.

I am not going to comment on wiring etc. You indicated that you have just started. You will get better. Practice makes perfect.

Take a look here: www.bonsaiempire.com/forum/progressions/...er-what-would-you-do

Not saying that is the greatest styling ever nor will this become an award winning tree. But it is an examply of trying to find the strong points, and reducing the effect of the weak.
