First time posting and wanted to say hello.

So it's great there's a community here, I guess in today's environment you'd be hard pressed to find something that doesn't have a website dedicated and/or forum.

Anyway I've always loved 名媛直播 trees and wanted to get into them but my life and living arrangement never gave me the opportunity. Well I've finally delved into it and hope I can at least start. So after a couple months debating it and looking I decided to buy a starter kit, to grow from seeds.
  • Jacarand Mimosifolia
  • Pinus Aristata
  • Picea Mariana
  • Delonix Regia

So I planted these almost 2 months now, planted about half of them of each. Out of them I got some of all types to sprout except the Jacarand. 5 sprouts of the Pinus, 3 of the Picea and 1 of the Delonix. The thing is that I have to keep these inside. Long story short I'm living in my office so I keep them besides my desk with a grow light I have on at night for them. The office doesn't have windows so no other source of light. The Delonix is growing tall and fast, the Pinus is smaller and not very tall and the Picea is just small little sprouts just over a inch tall. By comparison the Delonix is about 3" tall now.

I have them in the provided sacks I got with them, about 2" in diameter and 3" tall, and in the same soil that came with it. Been watering it when the soil starts drying out etc. But I'm thinking about fertilizer for the Pinus and Picea since seem to be growing at a slower rate, might be normal but the growth isn't as dramatic as the Delonix.

The office they are in pretty much stays at 75-78°F all the time. So just hoping to get some insight about what the next stage should be even though it's still very early. And just to see if there's anything else I should do.

Even though I'm a beginner I know these things take time. I've gardened before when I had time and a place where I could. One of my first times growing anything was when I was 13 or so, I grew sunflowers and corn... they were both horrible crops haha it probably was the soil. Since when I was younger than that my father brought in sand for a sandbox for me to play in and at this was these were planted right next to it. And probably didn't help that I think this location was where a VW bug sat for years before this. Probably oil and other shit in the soil.

What I always find remarkable is that there are many people like you that have always loved bonsai - but haven't done the least bit of research before starting to grow their own.

Your pines and picea can not survive in the environment you're offering them. They need to be outdoors.

I'm not familiar with Jacarand/Delonix Regia and don't know how well these do indoors. I'm pretty sure though that in the unnatural environment you're keeping them in will not be sufficient to make 'm do well enough to grow bonsai out of 'm.

Questions about these seed packages (you probably know there's no such thing as bonsai seed, it's just seed) are asked very often here - and very often it's about the same species as you have. Please try the Search option of this forum, here are a few results:

While I agree that the pine and picea need to be outside I also planted Jacaranda seeds and have kept it inside for almost seven months and it seems to be doing very well for itself (or themselves, since five of the seven seeds sprouted and I kept two). I'd recommend doing what I did, which is giving your outside trees to someone with an outside.

Better alive somewhere else than dead with you.
