Thanks drakes and a auk, I will keep that advice in mind I just need it to stay alive! Any tips to improve my chances? I've had 1 live and and one die so far, not 100% sure what I did differently. I have access to very little material so each one I can find is really important.

Main tips for survival.. dont keep it too wet, the soil looks very organic; does the pot have drainage? And go slow. Allow plenty of recovery time. Trees cycle in years notvdays or weeks..

I tried too keep as much of the soil on around the roots when I removed it, I just topped it up with garden compost.I only watered it in, but the soils moist,it's in a shady spot at the min,I don't want the sun to dry it out so soon after lifting it but Ill move into a permanent place soon, this is what I did with my other surviving one,is this the correct method?
And there is lots of drainage holes
