Here a little bit about the tropics, if you not in the low lands the temperature may well hit 8-12 degrees C, at night and 28-35C at the daytime, at the areas around 800-1200m above sea level, it is not even a seldom occurrence. Ficus can tolerate this if as Leatherback said the transition period is well adjusted.
