Hi
I planted some American maple seeds in a earthen trough 15 days back . About 10 buds have appeared in a scattered manner. My question is whether I should let all of them grow in the same trough?
What is the next step?

I'd let them grow as they are. They're extremely delicate at this stage. Wait until they have multiple leaves and the main stem hardens up. It could be several months before this happens. Ideally, you'd wait until spring before trying to divide and re-pot them, taking care not to disturb the rootball much, then plant them into the ground or large growing container until they reach a desirable size. Use well-draining soil and keep them outside - they're outdoor trees and won't survive indoor conditions for long.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Make sure you flip the pot around. It is now upside down. The trees will have a hard time growing this way.
By what I can see here, none of there is a maple

Hard to tell type at the moment. Looks like the seed leaf (cotyledon) is all that has pushed through. Have to wait until first true leaves open up.

In any case.. This should be outside. That way, they should germinate when spring arrives. Inside it is too warm and dark which will result in very thin plants growing with very long internodes (And a lot of space between the roots and the first leaves.

Just wondering, which American Maple you was hoping for,
.
I don't think they look like maples, the easiest beginner way to plant seeds , is in the garden, in the season they fall from the tree. The ones that fall in the spring are the easiest, you just pull seedlings from your gutter.
did they look something like this
Funny thing about planting seeds, we just have to wait, and see what grows.
