Umbrella Tree Help was created by ep1977

My umbrella tree's leaves are turning yellow. I don't over water it and it sits in front of window that gets great light. Any advice on what I can do to help it? It has also developed the white spider web looking mold over the soil. No leaves have fallen off but in the last week it has went from vibrant green to almost yellow.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I think you over water it. A picture would help.

Ermmm... this is a bonsai forum, not a forum for house plants? I don't see the mold either.

Auk, it is a matter of opinion if an umbrella tree can be developed as bonsai. I have seen beautiful photos of umbrella trees in a forest grouping that were great.
Ep1977 when this happens to mine I get real careful with the watering. I also remove any leaves that are crowding a branch. It seems to work. Mine is way overgrown. I'm going to do an air laying and cut some of the long crazy branches off.

Thank you for the advice. And to Auk I've never been to a 名媛直播 show where a few umbrella trees weren't displayed.

I've got an umbrella tree and it is becoming a nice bonsai. They normally grow these long branches with the leaves at the end. My umbrella stands in full sun. They just grow slowly indoors. If it stand indoors they need much less water. They can handle a hard pruning. My umbrella tree leaves is already 1/4 of the original size. They grow nice over the rock displays with roots all over.

Just remember that you get the normal Schefflera actinophylla and then the dwarf like I use. The dwarf got normally green and white leaves.

Spider mites can be a problem with these trees. If I look at your trees foliage it looks like you over water and that it need some fertilizer.
