Thank you for the responses everyone, I have put those things into action.
I water not on routine but based on how dry the soil is, it's worked out over the last months with watering.
I was given a website link so I was using the advice on there and seeing if it would work hence the reason for the late reply.
I also went to a bonsai show today to speak with a few people about the tree and then put all of the advice into action.
Thanks again guys I will keep you all posted on how it works out. I scratched the bark off the branch lightly and it is still green.
So fingers crossed.

Sorry Auk, its been a tough one this week and I'm not talking about the tree, I'll try replying quicker. I am interested in saving this plant because it is my first and I have done so much making sure it is ok and it's just recently I have had the trouble. I do appreciate your concern though.
