Indeed @simplysaid, I was referring more to Auk (I sensed a bit unwelcome). I will try another forum as well and thanks for the advice. Your right, answering that last question did make me think about the future of this plant and it looks like I've got plenty of time to prepare... lol. To be completely honest, the kit was really badly written and the only reason I knew that it was a mixture is because I had to contact the company.

The first thing you are doing is growing trees. For that, all you need is seed and soil - and pots, of course.

to be called bonsai kit, its not exactly lying!

it isn't very true either. They make you believe you can grow bonsai out of these seeds. However, if you really want to grow bonsai from seed, the first thing you must know is what species it concerns, so you know how to germinate them. Next, you will need to know what care they need, whether they require a dormancy period or if they can be kept indoors. If they are an outdoor species and you have germinated them in autumn... that's not great.

I see people asking questions about bonsai kits quite often. I never see the results. I do not have any figures, but I highly doubt more than a very few people still have these plants after a year. I expect practically no one has managed to really create a bonsai this way.

Not saying you should not try and grow trees from seed. I do it too and I like to see them grow. I have a couple of black pines, 3 years old now. However, do research in advance, decide what species you want to grow, study it, learn what it needs and then buy the seeds from an ordinary seed handler and start with that. You won't need tools the first years. Maybe a bit of 1 / 1.5 mm. wire after 1 or 2 years.

I think AUK's advice will also make you think about how to be successful in what you're doing.
I personally have only grown 1 maple from a seed and it died because I didn't care for it properly during the winter. I should have gone to a nursery and asked them what to do. but growing a tree from a seed as to train it to be a 名媛直播, seems like a very rewarding thing.

You should read it the way I write it - honest and sincere.
If you are into bonsai, you are very welcome, of course. A bonsai kit just isn't the best start. We're trying to show you better ways.

And backbto the post..

Congrats on get germination, which often not easy. Now you need to keep them alive.

I hope you are in the southern hemisphere. Else you may have given yourself a huge disadvantage. Keeping this alive is very hard inside. Trees belobg outside, no matter what the label. Some cannot survive temperate climate and as such are labelled indoor trees. Favt is, our heated houses are not good for plants. Some do survive..

The seedlings are now at huge risk of dampibng off, a fungal infection to the roots, as well as fubgus gnats. Bots caused by too wet, too long. You need to make sure the soil dries a little between watering. Which is hard.. too dry and dead is there too.

I grow seeds starting germination with the seasons. Sowing outside in winter. Then let nature take its course.

Thank you, at which point do you think I should bring them outside and let them grow naturally if at all. I currently live in the north east of the UK so I'm not too sure how they will hold up against our weather :(. The split between the 2 original leaves are much more distinct in pattern and look awfully similar to a Chinese elm (Ulmus Parviflora) as it has a jagged edge along the edge of the leaf.

I am not sure. I would not have seedlings at this stage. Probably keep them outside till winter comes. But there is a risk of them going dormant and not having the reserves to wake up. Catch22 rrally.
