I am not sure why everyone is being so negative here. It is not a completely silly question. Many plants are toxic and some cats are in the mood of trying them, appearently. I have not yet come across people whose cat ever got ill because of plants, but you never know.Winter wrote: Auk, what took you so long?
Anyway, if it is one of these plants that the natives in the amazon forests are using to poison the tips of the arrows for hunting, then yes – it is poisonous for your cat. Walmart is well known for selling these trees.

I'm not being negative. I honestly wonder if this is a serious question.
Walmart sells lots of plants that are called bonsai, but are no bonsai. Pony tail palms, for example.
How can you buy a plant, and than AFTER you bought it, wonder if it is toxic for cats? How can you ask a question about some type of plant, without posting a picture, without anyone knowing what type of plant we are talking about? Why is this about Walmart plants, would Walmart 'bonsai' be toxic, but Home depot 'bonsai' not?
I really find it a strange post.

not plants...
we did have a cat, that batted plants, and the cactus, solved the problem. of course, it didn't eat them. Guess, you could always get a new cat.

The amazon rain forest is very large and includes more than one tribe of natives. Some tribes use the frogs you mention, others use cyanide from "yucca root", and I bet some use certain plants.
