So the temp is starting to fall and I noticed over the last couple days some leaves are starting to fall off. Its been 40-45 degrees outside the last few nights and I keep the tree on a window sill in my kitchen. Would it be smart to take the tree and place it in another part of the house during the evening and night and the put it back at sunrise when the temps go back up? Other than that, the tree is growing and getting bigger. Thanks for some input everyone.

No. Do not move them around.
I have also just taken my ficus plants indoors because it is starting to get to cold. Just place them in a well-lit area indoors and do not move it around.

So, I believe my Fig survived the winter in fairly good shape. I got this little guy almost a year ago and I'm thinking of repotting it. The soil on the top seems pretty dry and the pot is just plain ugly. I'm not fairly certain what the best type of soil and/or fertilizer to buy then I do repot it. If anyone has any suggestions on the type of pot and soil I should/shouldn't get i'd appreciate it.
Also, should I trim it down some before I repot it or should I continue to let it grow out and trim it down a month or so after I repot it?
Thanks for the advice.

Been almost two years since my last post. She seems to be doing well. Thinking about trimming her down. Yay or nay?

I?d say that after two years little to nothing has changed for this tree. Maybe you should consider taking this tree outside, specially now that Spring is almost over and Summer comes down knocking at our doors.

You think it should stay out the entire summer and then bring it back in for the fall winter? I do have a nice canopy with some shelving I could sit in on, but not sure if it would get as much sun as it would get in my window.
Do you recommend it staying out all day and night or should it be brought in every so often?
Thanks!

Plants do not like to be moved around. So you move it as little as needed. So just place it outside when the weather is warm enough (Typically, temperatures of 10+ c). And you slowly let it get used to the sun. It will get sunburn if you put it outside in full sun directly. Then once acclamitized, you just leave it there till the warm weather is over and temps dip below 10c again.
