stressed out maple was created by simplysaid

Has anyone had success in bringing a stressed out Maple back? The president of my 名媛直播 club did a slip pot on it about a month ago. All the leaves have curled up and dropped off. I keep it on the shade all day (outside), and water it when it seems to need it. I'll post pics later today.

I'd recommend the same care as you're giving, and no fertilizer until it puts out growth. It could be toast, or could just be preparing new buds after a very stressful moment. We'll see more with pictures.

are the roots good and strong? ive had luck with a 'dyna grow product called kln. its a rooting hormone but in smaller doses it helps with some types of shock.
but as brkirkland22 had said, your doing wut ya should. and remember most do not like lots of hard wind and sunlight.
and i also recommend happy frog jap. maple food once it shows signs of regrowth.
good luck my friend

so here's the latest pic. I have a mentor that I'm going to get together with and do a better inspection. But other opinions would be helpful. This tree has been in the shade of a large cherry tree for 3 months and only started turning after a slip potting. I fed it once and water it when I think it needs it. I did pull the dead leaves from it but not forcefully. I ran my hands over the branches and what fell off, fell off.

sorry to say but.. This is not a stresse out, but a dead maple. No bringing this back.

You said it was slip-potted? No rootwork, no trimming etc?

Thanks. I'm surprised you and Kirkland were the only people to offer comments. I went to my bonsai club work shop yesterday and spoke with the president who did the slip pot. He felt bad so he gave me a good starter trident maple. I also got great advice from another member on training my blue spruce. Nothing beats hands on work.
Thanks again.

This trident has a really straight trunk with a decent taper. The branches aren't wide enough yet so I'll have to do another chop to get it to look the way I want. I'll do some research and find the best way to train this tree. I do like the trident, but will continue to search for another maple.
My club has become worth it's weight on gold. The people are really nice and willing to teach. I'm by far the youngest and they seem to get excited about having me there.
Do you have a few tridents I could look at for inspiration?

I have tridents but not for inspiration: I was given an 10cm trunk from a very nice guy in the Netherlands, who since passed away. It had very bad revers taper, which I am correcting by taking the top out. It is no just a 3 metre tall trunk with an airlayer at 7cm.
I took cuttings last year. One of which is on a rock. Needs half a decade burried. And I grew a bunch from seed this spring. Nothing to see there!
