Helped me a great deal.
As to the spruce - they are really not easy starting material - they don?t hold shape and require repeated wiring, and don?t like they branches to be bended down - at the end new growth usually turn upwards - I got me a Conica last year, wired for 5 hours and was happy with it. But when new growth appeared, it twisted the end of branch upwards and it looked really funny. I gave up on it and planted it in front garden to be a regular garden tree, I just won?t let it to get very high.

That's what's often done - by very experienced bonsai growers. Better to start at the basics.
Do note that when you trunk chop a spruce below the foliage, you'll have killed it.

Yes, a true inspiration, no, they won't never let me near that show. well, maybe, one of these years...

seems this show is in Australia. Also...I think it's tough to find an alberta spruce with trunk movement like this.Samantha wrote:

Goof..Samantha wrote: no, my spruce just sits there, never moves.
Very funny. But do you have a spruce that has nice movement? Or should it take dance lessons?
