Hello, I got this tree from a neighbour for free, think it's just been sat at his front door for 20 years un touched. I think it's a real cracker and has bags of potential. Ivr no trees really just little bits and bobs. It took me and my dad at our limits to lift it. I was thinking choppinh the top off and going informal upright.
I'd really appreciate your opinions, hope you can gauge it's size.

Careful with that. Better wait a while (talking about weeks), get to know the tree, reconsider, change your mind a couple of times maybe... you can only chop it once. It's a juniper, it will not grow new branches on old wood.
Can't really see the branch structure to give a proper advice about styling it. Cascade maybe? Or a literati with a couple of strong bends?

Hey Auk, thanks for your reply, I'm doing nothing till next year, I'm going to take it to a bonsai nursery to repot it, with me assisting. Wine be chopping anything this year. I'll not chop either Defo air layer as top but is great.
Am so pleased to have it, could never afford such a tree myself. Dunno if it's just me who thinks it's amazing lol
