Hello, this is my first post here. I recently bought my first bonsai tree but unfortunatly i dont know which species is it. Here are some screenshots:





I reaserched through bonsai empire and i think it could be boxwood:


Please help me if you know which species is this. I just got it recently and im planning to start shaping it soon couse i didnt cought any time yet...

I'd say Ilex Crenata.

A better / clearer picture of the (edge of) the leaves would help.

The pic of the Ilex leaves look very similar.

From what I read ft it, it is a type of Holy which is an alternative to the Box.

It would be good to start a new thread, but i will just put forward my best guess, i may be wrong, but here it is:

Looks like a box wood elder to me, at least very much like it.

What did they say when you took it home?

Samantha you dont think its Ilex Crenata like user Auk is saying? Unfortunatly wen i bought it i didnt ask anything about the tree, and there was nothing writen about the species... With the tree i got only really simple guidelines on a small peace of paper saying:

Care: Much Light, No direct sunlight, Keep the soil evenly moist, do not allow soil to dry out. Prefer sprinkle. Can be trimmed. Design for decoration, not allowed for consumption.
