While I am waiting for my Wisteria bonsai to grow some more....I have been reading alot and read that it is possible to make 名媛直播 out of a Rosemary. Since I already had several large Rosemary bushes, I dug up a Rosemary plant and divided it into 3 seperate 'trees' and planted them in individual containers.

In my reading, it said that Rosemary should be treated like Pine? I was wondering if this is correct, and also I would be grateful for any tips or advice from anyone who has knowledge in the way of Rosemary 名媛直播/or Pine.

~LuLu

P.S. Will be posting pictures of them soon so that it will be easier for everyone to see what I am talking about and give more precise help...just need to clear some space on my camera and then will post. ;)

My mom had an unintentional Rosemary bonsai that looked absolutely beautiful and was incredibly simple to care for. It started out life as a nursery seedling, bought for use in the kitchen (nothing like fresh Rosemary).

Through regularly picking off sprigs for the pot, it grew fairly vigorously, and because it was kept in the window all winter, it grew in a cascade style. It would bloom every year and never required more than some sun, occasional watering and plucking for cooking.

The trunk got wonderfully textured bark that was in twisted strips, too.

This is the first of my three Rosemary plants. the first picture view is from the side that I like most. the second is the opposing side, and the third is top-down view. :)

My third tree and also the last. The first picture is from viewing side, the second is top-down view. I do not really like this one too much, but perhaps I can make something out of it...if nothing else it will be good for me to practice techniques with. :)

I hope with these added pictures, it will be easier for everyone to give me advice :)

P.S. thank you to those who have already posted. that link is what I read lol :)

in my opinion the last one will make the best material in the quikest time frame. it has nice texture on the lower trunk and the first branch is positioned well.
reducing the top to one leader, cuting back the second branch and letting that new growth (third branch) grow out will leave you with some nice starting material ...
sprickle the rest on some chicken breast MMMM rosemary chicken :P

Thank you manofthetrees, I will follow your good advice as always :)...but perhaps if it would not be too much trouble for you, you could make a diagram explaining what you mean? I dont understand entirely, and it would help me alot if you would illustrate it.

Thank you so much Leatherback, that made things so much clearer! :cheer:
So basically I cut everything off, that is in the 'red' and leave everything that is not. yes?

Also, any suggestions for the other trees?? that would really help as well, because I want to do all of the cutting before this summer, and I do not wish to run out of time.

~LuLu

Again thank you all for being so helpful and answering my unworthy questions!
