I seriously cannot believe something needs to go that long without water. I freak out and water them. I think I over water them.....

i do have an abundance of aloe 1 is in a 1/4 cup sized pot with coarse sand onlt and i have it tied to a rock cuz its a foot tall and 8 inches wide. i might water it once every 2 months .... um i think we hijacked this thread

See the other thread too. This shape is the direct result of a too dark position. Jade needs lots of light, and only little watering. They grow under bright conditions normally, and an indoors position is far from ideal. Succulents always are watered very little to almost nothing in the winter when it is too dark from them to grow properly, and watering is increased with the increase of sun & temperature in spring. Placing Jade outside in full sun (With an acclimatation period of course) will get you nice solid growth.

My house is definitely dark. I'm going to have to think about how I want to add lighting to the plant table. I'd like something that looks nice which means the shop light is a no go.

I suggest a desk lamp. You can get a simple (and hideous) one for 10 bucks. Or you can drop some big $$ and get a real classy one.




Get a 23 watt, 1600 lumen, CFL bulb for it.
