I dug this tree up last fall. and re-potted it this spring just before the leaves popped. I don't know what it is...It grows wild in Maine. The underside of the leaves are silver-ish....


Notice the aphids in picture one. Anyone that has multiple trees will realize what a whole scene causes..

that looks so familar but i just cant put my finger on it ...by any chance to the leaves smell fragrant when rubbed between your fingers

I think Ive seen that tree hundreds of time, yet I don't know what it is. I can look it up for you but I need to know if im thinking of the right tree. Does it get roundish balls that have really fine, fibrous spikes inside that are really itchy and you somehow can't get them off because they just so @#$%!#$ small.

No, This is all the tree produces. Leaves with a silverish underside.
