Hello,
I have mentioned this before however it kind of went away so I didnt really persue it any more.... I have some white spots / speckles starting to appear on the trunk of my bonsai. Now I have repotted into the same container, given it a good clean, made sure there was no bad soil (from previous mistakes made) and washed it and trimmed the roots down as per the instructions here.
Now I know there is none of the old soil on the roots on the trunk anywhere and its had a good water and been fed too with some 5:5:5 food as per its instructions. Now its been growing fine and everything and its been watered as per its needs and some little white speckles / spots have started appearing again and I am wondering what they could be as I would like to get it sorted ASAP before it gets out of hand. I have had a look around the internet and people are saying that it could be fungus however I would like to check and make sure and get some proper advice before doing anything and risking my little tree's health!
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I will grab some pictures soon for you to have a look at...
Many Thanks
James

James.
It looks like there are mineral deposits near the soil surface. It's from the water you are using. You could use rain water
Don't worry too much. It's fine.

Hello and welcome
…..it would have been better to start your own topic in stead of digging up a 9 year old one…
This being said, more info is needed: how long do you have the plant, where is it located, watering schedule,….?

It’s been 6 months I have the plant. I water it when the soil is near to dry. But it’s been 3-4 days the soil is very damp, and there is a a lot of moisture in it. What should I do? There is also regular soil
Mixed in it.
Mixed in it.
