i think its a lost cause- repotting and the styling was probably too much to handle for the plant,( maybe combined with the drip system that kept it wet all the time ).

That looks really unhappy indeed. You say you repotted recently? DId you prune roots?
The wiring looks neat, but.. How much handling / bending of the trunk did you do?
Both can cause die-back if done wrong I am afraid.
