You shouldn't copy them.
First because every video is a show, and they need to make the whole process fit in XX minutes.
Second because usually they really do it at the right time, such as repotting in the beginning of the Spring, decandlig or defoliating at the end of the Summer and so on.
But doing everything in one session with a difficult species at the wrong time in the season is always very, very risky.
As a side note I guess we have all done the same mistake once or twice.
Killing trees is always a fast way to learn.
When in doubt, ask first, do later.

What they do in videos is not always recommended practice. And a lot depends on experience, local climate and age of the plants.
Pines are ticksters. Go slow is the general recommendation.
THat being said, I have styled, pruned, repotted mugo in summer which lived.So yeah, who knows..

Some of those shows are fun to watch, just look at what they have to start with. They get paid to prune such a thing at the show..
