The entire outline/the tips of my blue alps juniper is turning brown. This tree has been healthy up until a couple of days ago. After pinching off the brown there are small, healthy looking, fresh, blue/green buds. Is this a common occurence or do I have a bigger problem that I'm not seeing?
Any advice would be greatly Appreciated

Sounds like a root problem. Has it dried out, or could it have been swamped for a bit? Ferilized recently?

I water in the evenings. I fertilize with biogold and fish emulsion every few weeks. I mist with superthrive on a regular when home.

I always water in the morning never evenings unless it is a second time. You should prune not pinch as this will cause the tips to brown, but that looks like something else.

Ok thanks, I didn't know that on pinching. It must be something different because I only pinched the brown. Haven't been cutting or pinching anything, being I have been trying to thicken up the pads and the limb structure itself.

I experimented with super thrive once. I sprayed some elms and some pines. The elms didn't seem to notice. The pines died.
