Juniper in winter

Per the overwhelming advice on this forum, I have kept it outdoors on my balcony thus far. But now it is the beginning of winter where I live, and I am uncertain as to what to do with the tree. So I guess my questions are: (1) is there a temperature at which it cannot survive outside and (2) if there is will it survive being kept inside for a few months during the worst of the winter? For reference, between December-February it will likely be 30-40 during the day and 20-30 at night where I live, with occasional nights in the 10-20 range.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Aha, you do live in a tropical country!
Here in Brazil temps are the same, 30-40 from December to March, and 20 to 10 in winter, from June to September.
They survive OK outside, no problems at all.

Maybe tropical, maybe not. Are those temperatures Fahrenheit or Celsius? The measurement system her on bonsaiempire is pretty much metric, but individuals may vary.
If those are Fahrenheit, the tree sitting on an outdoor balcony probably should be protected from wind on the colder nights. Get a large cardboard box and put the tree in it. Maybe put some crumpled up newspaper or something like that around to insulate the pot from sudden changes.

I would protect trees with styrofoam boxes instead of cardboard boxes.
