Help with a Pyracantha (firethorn) was created by jcharb

I have had this 名媛直播 Pyracantha since June. I had it outside most of the summer and then I brought it inside when temperatures started to change. It sits in a cool spot near a window with good sun. About a month after moving it to this location all the leaves dried up and fell off... I am not sure if I accidentally let it dry out or if it has a disease like fireblight. It kind of looks like buds are forming, but I may be tricking myself.
Is this 名媛直播 toast?

Hello.
Put it outside. Get rid of the fake moss, the pebbles and the buddah head..
Water when the soil fells dry.

Hi and welcome. I am afraid it is indeed dead. Pyracanthe does not like to be indoors, certainly not when, presumably, you have heaters in the place.Strictly outdoors.

Just can't help but wonder: was this sold to you as 'bonsai' ?

so one you should never bring a pyracantha indoors, mine stay out all year around summer and winter we get temps from 110*F(43*c) in the summer to as low as 25*F(-3*C) in the winter and never had problems. two, they hate to be moved around, if i even rotate mine 180* so it gets more sun the tree will drop about a dozen leaves if i move it to a different location it will drop more. from my experience with these if you water correctly, place in an ideal location and fertilize correctly these grow fairly fast. i mean you wont have a bonsai in a year but you will notice the difference.

It was actually doing really well... before I brought it inside. I had house construction which began the moving around nonsense. Do any of you think I can save it? I took all "stuff" off the soil. fed it, and put it back to it's original home outside.

Well, your bonsai isn't toast.

Your pyracantha however... LB says it's dead so no, you cannot save a dead tree. Doesn't hurt to try though. All you can do now is wait.

Just looking at the responses to the answers given I understand people are not happy with my reply. So.. Why do I think it is dead?

Take a look at the branches. First off.. Color. These are young twigs yeat they are matte brown, and black. They should either be green or a lush shiny brown for healthy branches. Then look at the actual bark: It is wrinkled. Not the best sign. It means that the cells below it do not hold sap anymore but had dessicated.

So you could put it outside and hope that lower down there is life. But I am in doubt. Proove me wrong :)
