Not at all. I have no idea where your window is, nor do I know what grows up north in Sweden, so I took a look.

Ahh, so your input had Nothing att all to do with the initial post nor the quoted text. That explains things :)

We have a lot of spruce here for the Wood industry. White birch is The most common non farmed tree in Sweden. Pines are very common, but most is for the Wood industry. When the land is not farmed for spruce sooner or later the pines will Take over a lot of space. We have the oldest verified tree in Sweden. A pinus sylvestris at 9500 year old. The biggest tree in Sweden and proboably in scandinavia is kvilleeken. It is a oak tree that is more than 1000 years old. But oak does not live in the nothern parts.

Other than that we have approx 3% other leaf trees.

Sweden export of Wood is approx 10 percent of gdp. And that makes us the second biggest Wood exporting country in the world. The country is covered to 70% by forest, but less than 1% is natural forest, rest is production.

So Yes, we have a lot of trees in Sweden.

Slightly different advice - find somebody or (even better) a group and find out what trees they keep. In particular, which trees they have kept the longest. The trees outside the window will do just fine outdoors. Others might need more help. There is nothing like experience, so use others' experience in your area.

Although I agree that local trees are always best, this is a less relevant discussion, as the OP already HAS six trees, none of which will enjoy Swedish winter..
