Yes, keep it outside, fertilize and water it, let it grow for a while and study about wiring and pruning and repotting.
It can becime a nice bonsai.

You have to duplicate the environment it is expecting, so turn off the heater and air conditioner, take the windows out, etc. Of course that will make the house uncomfortable for you.
