With all due respect, i'm not sure its the direct advice he cannot take, but the accompanying sarcasm/condescension. It's not a joke, its not a crime scene, and Auk has way more than a couple of trees. Why lead off your answer with any of these statements unless you want to anger someone?

Not sure if you are talking about me, but I did not use the words Joke or Crime scene, and yes, I really only have a few trees.
Yes, I do have a lot of sticks in pots and in my garden, but I only have very few trees in pots that I dare to call bonsai - or actually, I rather call them pre-bonsai.
