Yep, and it even looks better.

Also when I repot it should I use a clay pot or a plastic training pot?


It will take years before this plant is ready for a bonsai pot. Until then, a training pot will be fine - and that can be a clay training pot. I use both, with a slight preference for clay ones.

Went to the first meeting with the group and got some good info and did some light trimming on my juniper. I was also given a bald cypress sapling for free and have research to do on it. I know they are impossible to over water as they thrive in swamps. Also it will need to be repot as its in a plastic nursery pot. I am really enjoying the hobby so far and hope it continues.

If you are enjoying it now, in the future, when you see result, you'll even enjoy it more (though it is quite likely there will be disappointments too - that's simply a part of it), so I expect it will continue :)
