Wow, I do not know, but it looks like it rotted at the base some time ago.. Mine is only about 5 years old and only 15 inches. I have heard that They like to dry out quite a bit between watering, but I have been watering it more this year and It has grown the most so far this year. I hope mine does not rot. I would burry it to the thickest part of the trunk myself, but there is character lower...

This rotting is being happening over a long time. Your not suppose to water a Baobab in winter times and the nursery where I bought it, gave it huge amounts of water . I just don't hope the roots started to rot.

The trunk is 22cm(8.6inch) diameter at the bottom.

I like the taper, still needs some work, though.

With spring almost finish, my big Baobab is growing like madness. It's been raining a lot.

I am going to start planning to wire this baobab as it grow so quickly with all the rain.

After doing some thinking I decided to cut this Baobab halfway shorter.
