I've got an option to pick one Baobab between two bonsai trees but I don't know which one to pick.

This one is beautiful with some stunning marks in the truck

The one got a bigger trunk between the two, but only got a few branches at the top. With this one I probably going to cut the tree shorter and treat the truck that new branches must develop.

Which one would be the best?

That depends on the style you are going for. There are some specific south african styles.
If you're going for the 'Pierneef' style, the first one would be the best choice. If it's going to be Baobab style (which would make sense as, well... it's a Baobab), I think it should be number 2.

Actually.. that's more suitable for acacias. So, number 2 it is.

Good move! The fatter the trunk the better!

I've removed some of the soil around the trunk to know what is happening around the trunk. This is how it looks like. With the detail around the trunk it will give a dramatic look rather than to hide it in the ground.
