I have purchased some azalea stock and done a little pruning to each. I am absolutely obsessed with azaleas and hope they all turn out! Leave me with some input and future ideas. I know it's early to start really training them, just trying to decide what I'd like to do with them.

rotate the images in an image editor, such as paint, photoshop, ..
You have now rotated them in software that uses the metadata to describe the orientation of the image; Not all (none?) websites read the metadata. You need to change the actual order in which the pixels are stored.

I bought one of these smaller Azalea's 2 years ago. It now sites in a larger tray, with all branches removed to force it to grow taller. But that is just me. I am a fan of bigger small trees

I have a few at a similar stage, just a question of keeping them healthy and tidy for now. Watch out though for Azalea galls - I found a few on my garden Azaleas and understand this is infectious if not caught early, treatment is simply removing the affected leaves (shows as a fleshy growth) as soon as possible. Not seen this before this year so I don't know how common it is.

For the raft idea, would you bend the main of the tree in the opposite way it is growing now? Forcing all of the current growth up...?

well, you would bend the main trunk of the tree so it is straight.

Why bend the trunk so it is straight? I think the idea was to make a raft?

if you wish to have a shallow pot (raft best look in this size) then you need the least space taking trunk.

I know you mean well. I really think though you should learn a bit more before you give advise. You could a bit first, for example, or read some .
