Air layering Shishigashira

The new roots peeking out. I hesitate to fill the gap with substrate between the soil level and the layering pot.. or separate it now from the rootstock.
If anybody have a young female specimen, I would like to buy or swap for one of my males.

In fact I do have a young female at home, but I doubt she will agree to be swaped for a Shishigashira...

Well.. I trust on lb’s advice, cause he proved every time I can...
So I detached the tree. I managed to broke the roots in one area. I think it’ll be okay (or not.. but won’t be easy to grow them out again...).
I potted deep, surrounded with sphagnum, like I did with the other two. I hope the best.. : )
Stump on the background could be a survivor too...
