I did consider it but the pot itself is very thick. I didn't know if this would be a problem? And I would also need to find a way to add feet to the base as its just flat.

I have looked at bonsai pots and they do seem to be rather expensive so will have to either buy a cheap terracotta pot for now or maybe find a way to drill into the pot I have without it breaking.
