Much less than during the growing season.
But yes, I water them every three or four days if the weather is cold.

3 or 4 days!! That is in Brazil for your information. I do it like every 3 to 4 weeks or so. Except for the ones kept outdoors all winter. Rain and snow takes care of them pretty much. If they do dry out, I will water them. It just not happen every year.
The Norfolk island pines that needs to be kept frost free, I water every 2 to 3 weeks. Not sure they are actually conifers thou??
Watering is the same no matter where you are or what species. Water when the tree needs it
