Hi guys! I'm new here
I just repotted my zelkova (kept indoor) in a new unglazed pot. When I water it the pot absorbs the water and become wet to the touch and some mold formed underneath it. I water the tree as I've always done but I've never had this problem with other pots before, they are all glazed pots though so I'm not sure if this is normal for an unglazed pot to become wet.

Zelcova like most species are hardy and must be outside. The unglazed pot is no different to glazed . If there is mould then clean it off.

I would go back to the store and return the pot.
