Are my Japanese Black pines dead please? I think I have over-fertilized them with BioGold and I am devastated. Can you tell from those photos? Anything I could do to rescue them will be massively appreciated

The Brown one is dead, but the green one is still alive.
No reason to fertilize seadlings. No reason to buy expensive biogold for trees in organic soil.
