I have a new fukien bonsai tree that I've had for about a month. I was losing some leaves and realized that it needed more water than I was giving it once a week and made the mistake of spraying it once, but now it is thriving. The question I have is that I can see some of the fertilizer pellets in it, but I don't know the last time that it was fertilized, so when should I fertilize next?

I bought an 18 - 6–8 pellet fertilizer from Perfect Plants that says one application is good for a year but that seems to go against other responses I have read like once a month during growing season. Any advice?

I dont know this specific product. But generally I stick to the recomendations on the bag plus 50% or so to cover for all the fertilizer flushed away when watering.
