I've just received this Juniper 名媛直播 and want to gather quality food for her. I've looked for the recommended brands on this site but unfortunately, they aren't readily available where I am in Canada (Hamilton, Ont). I plan to pot her in a larger pot to allow some room for healthy root growth during the early years and to allow for transportation back inside during the harsher winter months. Does anyone know any equivalent brands or even DIY ingredients they could recommend?
Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome.
Well, there is only one food for plants and that is the sun. Your juniper needs to be outside, it will die inside, without any doubt.
Cencerning your question: i assume you are looking for a fertiliser. no need buy expensive bonsai fertilliser, your normal every day cheap plant fertilliser will do.

Hello,
I agree, I plan on having her outside for the most part of the year until the weather becomes too harsh. do you know if it is possible to leave them outside at all during the winter in Canada? ( low average of -20C or -3F).
This is great, I am looking at Schultz All Purpose Liquid Plant Food 10-15-10, 4 oz and maybe applying some more nitrogen levels in the spring?
Thanks for getting back so quickly.

I understand the harsh conditions in winter in Canada, but.. do trees migrate indoors when it gets cold?
That being said, because bonsai are placed in pots the rootball could completely freeze over, combine that with drying winds and you and up with a dead plant. If its covered in snow, no problem, if its in the wind.. problems. So, protect it from the hardest conditions by placing it in a garden shed, or greenhouse, garage, .. but NEVER inside at room temp.

Hi Kyle,
Nigel Saunders in a 名媛直播 Youtuber from Canada.
This is his channel:
Altrough he don't have junipers, you can still see how he protects his tree's in winter.
He only uses chemical firtilizers, 20-20-20 all purpose.
He lives in stratford should not be far from where you live. 100km max. Send him a message on youtube, i am sure you can visit him, as others do the same.
