Thank u for your reply leatherback. My concern for watering foliage is that due to the fact i perform watering in the afternoon mostly, i am somewhat afraid that the foliage and the tree remain moist overnight which might encourage pests or affect the tree negatively. That's is why i wanted to confirm whether ot was really necessary to water the foliage. I know if i perform the watering early morning, this would have not been an issue the the tree will not remain moist during the day, but due to my hectic schedule i prefer water my trees mainly in the afternoon

Assad: it seems like you know what you are doing. Althou international forum is a good place to learn, I am sure you will get the best advises for your climate from your friend that has grown the tree in that picture. I am very curious if he water the foliage and why.

Yes topfrog, i have asked my friend if he can join the forum and debate on his tree so that we may all know concerning watering of the foliage.
