We've had this juniper since February of this year. Recently changed out the soil to one purchased from a 名媛直播 nursery here in the Seattle area (it's a pretty coarse soil with a fair amount of rock & a little bark). We have it on the east side of the house where it gets lots of morning sun but is in shade in the afternoon. Watering weekly.
Have noticed recently that while it's growing well, there are yellow areas of growth. Not sure if this means too much sun, too much/little water, or something else. A few of the tips seem a little dry, a couple have died. But basically it's got a lot of new growth, most of which seems healthy. Any thoughts appreciated.

It looks healthy overall.
Wait a little longer before doing anything drastically.

At the end of sprin and early summer most junipers get yellow needles on the inside. If you were to walk in my garden you would see spots of yellow on all my needle junipers. It is normal for this to happen on the oldest parts of the branches: Those are needles of 2, 3 years old that die off and drop. Growing tips dying off is less normal and should be monitored. Here and there one is not an issue. If you see it across a branch or the tree occuring it is important to figure out what is happening.
