Ficus ramification was created by Smossoo

I cut most of the leafs off but left their stems. About 5 days later, the stems fell off and now, nothing has happened. It has been two weeks now and there are no new buds appearing on these branches. There are three new little green sprouts further down on the trunk but that is it. Will I get smaller leaves like I wanted? Any help is appreciated.... thankyou

It is important to clip the growing tip off in order to get other buds to start growwing.

Your tree is nowhere near the stage that you need to worry about ssmaller leaves. Get a structure & ramnification first. Small leaves is the very last stage of development, in 5-10 years probably.

I did pinched off the new growth on the branches ... guess I was given the wrong information to begin with and will just have patience and let it grow on its own. Thank you .....
