That is a Zanthoxylum piperitum. This one confuses me. When you look up "Zanthoxylum piperitum bonsai" this is what it looks like. When you check the article on Wikipedia though, the picture shows a different plant.... and it is a Japanese pepper. Looks to me Wikipedia is wrong - but that is a guess, I do not have sufficient knowledge.
I have no experience with it, I do not find them very interesting for bonsai.

I got one for my mom few years ago. I don't find it suitable for bonsai training, but it can be a nice plant though. It is not hardy and reacts badly when not watered frequently enough.

Yeah before misunderstanding me, they are like ficuses for me, can be good bonsais, but living in Europe its just kind of impossible. I dont even know where op lives though
