Hi
i recently got given this podocarpus as a gift and after the first cut its obviously just been left to grow in a broom style but has resulted in the trunk being very narrow. I was planning on on making a cut shown in (picture 1) to try for a more informal upright style as it looks the most promising branch and then placing it in a bigger pot to allow it to grow. The only problem is, it was kept as an indoors tree so it is still growing a little even though its winter. so would this cut i make once spring arrives be to much for the tree as its not fully dormant? any advice is appreciated.
