Seems to be a European/Japanese Yew: the trunk grows straight for four inches, then veers left for two inches and THEN, grows right for a main branch of (counting from the curve), downward for almost twelve inches. Undesirable. (?) I wish to trim the rapidly growing main branch. (Perhaps to use as a new planting.) However, the extreme bend (6-7 inches) seems to be the more desirable cutting point. Please advise.
