I have *heard* that putting petroleum jelly on pine / picea wounds help in stopping the flow/sealing wounds faster. Not sure it is true. I had great results with petroleum jelly helping callusing over cut areas with Larix spp.

Then this will be the last pruning I did on my picea for now. In the dormant period I'll prune it/him/her more, which also will be the threatment for the chamaecyparis.
