Hello! ?I have this juniper which I know has issues with the trunk chop, but that aside for the moment, what can I do with the two long branches at the top? ?The middle one I thought maybe the apex, but then the one on the right throws it off. ?Maybe if I prune the left branch back so it’s not as long? ?The branches have a little movement to them but the left one is especially sturdy. ?
Just looking for ideas thanks so much!

The wire is having no effect at all. The lower left branch looks as if it is coming from the inside of the bend if it is then it needs to be moved. The trunk with the correct wire application could be bent to give movement, but not with the wire on it now which is inadequate thickness. and application.

I would remove the left branch after the big Y. The right one I would bend to the right and slightly forward. The small branch under the Y would become a new branch in the future. I would also uppot into a much bigger container for faster development.
If you are in the nortern hemisphere now is not a good time. You have all the way until early spring to make your own decition.

Well, I wrapped in self adhesive silicone tape, and copper wire, and got more movement out of it. ?I didn’t wait, so we’ll see if that was a bad move. ?Here is mine, then a couple I?found online I dig the look of. They r obviously different , but just some general ideas that interest me. ?I can see the crown/apex potential with the top branch. ?I think with some thinning of the top left bushy branch I could be getting somewhere?

I bought my first Junipers a few months ago, so I can't tell much.
But I liked it, looks like a good plan, it would work too if you go for a shorter design, but it looks good, just those jin seems a little too long, without much movement.
A cool thing about junipers is that if you wired something and later it doesn't please you, you can turn it into a jin.
EDIT:
There's Youtube Chanel that kind of helps me called "名媛直播 Releaf", his content is focused on styling conifers so far, and for me it helps a lot, I mean if you pay attention on how he selects branches and wire it.
I noticed he points the tips of the juniper's foliage?upwards.
