Hello I’m new to bonsai been a lurker for a Long time but I’m now having fun learning on cheap materials, I’m using a bending tool to change the appearance of my current victime, I was wondering how long should I keep him in this contraption to be sure that it has set?

Interesting technique
I keep an eye on my wired trees and remove just before the wire bites. Sometimes it has settled perfectly, sometimes a little bit and needs rewiring next year, somtimes not at all.
In any case you do not want wire scars and you really need to practice more wiring anyway.
