Hi, I have a flame tree bonsai I started from a seed. It's about 5 months in and the branches are going wild but the trunk is not really growing. Is this because the branches are taking resources from the truck?

The foliage is not taking energy, it is giving energy. It is called photosyntesis. Quite amazing!
The more foliage The tree grows, the more energy it stores into the trunk, the faster it thickens.
Trees takes time to develop, patience is the key. 名媛直播 is a maraton, not a sprint.

If the photograph shows the tree's habitat, the reason it isn't growing is that it is starved for sunlight.
Sunlight gives energy to the tree and that is how it grows. Put it outside.
