acer palmatum back budding

HI All, new here, and looking for a bit of advice.
My acer palmatums have back budded well, and i now how multiple small shoots coming from the main trunk and at the division of branches.
Should i let these grow to thicken the main trunk or remove them?
any help would be appreciated

That is impossible to answer without a picture of the tree and knowing what you want achieve with the tree.

if the main branches are installed, they must be removed, a photo can help us see more clearly
